Battery Runtime Estimator

Estimate battery backup runtime from battery voltage, amp-hours, battery count, usable depth of discharge, inverter efficiency, and continuous load.

Limitations: Assumes a steady load and ignores Peukert effects, temperature derating, battery aging, inverter idle draw, surge loads, and low-voltage cutoff behavior.

What to do next: Use conservative depth-of-discharge values: deep-cycle lead-acid often 50–80%, lithium often 80–95%. If the load has motor surges, size the inverter separately.
Estimate only. Real runtime depends heavily on battery chemistry, age, temperature, and the actual load profile.
