Drywall Estimator
Estimate drywall sheets needed for a room using wall dimensions, optional ceiling coverage, openings area, waste, and common sheet sizes.
Limitations: This does not estimate corner bead, joint tape, screws, or finish coats. It assumes rectangular walls and does not subtract closets, soffits, or unusual framing conditions unless you include them in openings.
What to do next: Use 10% waste for simple rectangular rooms, 12–15% for complex layouts or many cuts. Taller walls may justify 10- or 12-foot sheets to reduce seams.
